  • New Scholarship for Promising Demography Students

    Dr. Nam has founded and generously contributed funds to a $5000 annual scholarship to a promising student in the MS Demography program. It is his hope that the Charles B. Nam Scholarship Fund will continue to grow and thereby encourage deserving students of Demography by helping defer the costs of graduate school.

The Center for Demography and Population Health, established in 1967, is an interdisciplinary research and academic unit within the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy at The Florida State University, a Carnegie Research I University.

Mission Statement

CDPH supports evidence-based public policy through its interdisciplinary research on demographic processes and population health; trains Master’s students seeking careers as applied demographers; and mentors doctoral students in social demography, population economics, social epidemiology, and environment and health.
