Student Planning Lab Wins Awards for Pasco Project
The Department of Urban and Regional Planning’s Florida Planning and Development Lab (FPDL), under the direction of Planner-in-Residence Lindsay Stevens, has won the American Planning Association Florida’s Student Project Award for 2015. The award recognizes the team’s outstanding work on “Vision 19: A Catalyst for Change in The Harbors,” a project that focused on economic development for Pasco County, Florida.
FPDL partnered with the county during the Summer and Fall 2014 semesters on a two-phased project focused on implementing the Harbors West Market redevelopment plan. Key redevelopment catalyst sites and strategies for development of these sites were identified by the team.
FPDL learned in late May 2015 that the Florida Planning and Zoning Association gave the team and the project the 2015 Outstanding Study/Plan Award.
Congratulations to Lindsay, Senior Planner Jeremy Crute and the entire studio team!
