FAA Awards Drone Training Program
The Emergency Management and Homeland Security (EMHS) program at FSU was recently awarded a Section 333 exemption by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
FSU is now one of only two universities in the US to have been granted an FAA 333 exemption for training Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) pilots.
This exemption allows the EMHS program greater flexibility in their efforts to teach students hands-on flying and engage in UAS research nationwide.
