Alum Named to Leadership Organization
International Affairs alumnus Eric Reading (BA ’92, MA ’93) has been elected to the board of directors of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC), a broad-based, influential network of more than 400 businesses, non-governmental organizations, and community leaders who support a smart power approach of elevating development and diplomacy alongside a strong defense.
USGLC has a nationwide network of advocates in all 50 states, including national security and foreign policy experts; and business, faith-based, academic, military, and community leaders The organization boasts a bipartisan advisory council that includes every living former Secretary of State and is chaired by General Colin Powell and maintains a National Security Advisory Council consisting of more than 150 retired three and four-star generals and admirals.
Reading is executive vice president of the international development company Chemonics International.
