Funding opportunities in the Department of Geography are nationally competitive and enrolled students have access to excellent research facilities and interaction potential with scholars from Geography and a number of Ph.D. granting departments including Urban and Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Sociology, Criminology, Political Science and Economics. Over the last several years, we have been able to provide research funding to graduate students from organizations such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), Florida Department of Transportation, and U.S. Department of Transportation.
