Advising tip of the week: Drop/Add is not an initial course registration period – it is a time for schedule adjustment. Make sure to secure your seats in classes that meet requirements during open registration and then adjust your schedule, if needed, during drop/add. Don’t wait!

Open registration through August 5

Registration for Fall 2022 is open through August 5. Students who need advising should sign in through Campus Connect to either schedule an appointment or join the virtual drop-in queue.

Register for Fall 2022 classes before the end of open registration. Students who have not registered for at least one credit hour prior to the first day of classes (August 22) will receive a $100 late registration fee from the University.

Fall 2022 Drop/Add information

Additional information about Fall 2022 Drop/Add advising can be found on our website.

Transient coursework deadline

The Fall 2022 deadline for submitting transient applications through FloridaShines is August 1. Applications submitted after August 1 are not guaranteed processing or approval by either the COSSPP academic advising or academic affairs offices.

Additional information on the transient application process can be found on the COSSPP Academic Affairs website.

Declare your minor or concentration

Students with a primary major in COSSPP may declare a minor through our online request form. Concentrations for International Affairs and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences majors may also be declared through the same form.

Students must be certified into their major (not pre- or NFA-) before they can have a minor or concentration officially applied to their account.

Allow up to a business week for processing of your request. If you have questions, please email the COSSPP Mapping Coordinator at COSS-Admissions-Mapping@fsu.edu.

If you are a dual degree student with one of your degrees in another college, minors for that degree must be declared through that respective Dean’s office.
