Giving Opportunities

Annual Gifts

Annual Fund gifts provide immediate support to our College. Unrestricted contributions of any amount to either our College general development fund or to a Department general development fund helps us provide scholarship and fellowship awards, recruit faculty and graduate students, support faculty and student research projects, and provide special opportunities for our students to interact with renown guest speakers from around the world.

$1-$999
  • College-wide annual fund
  • General fund for specific department or program
$1,000-$2,999
  • General funds specified for specific purpose, e.g. scholarships, travel
$3,000 and above
  • Supplemental scholarships for graduate students
  • Need-based aid for all students
  • Doctoral dissertation fellowships
  • Aid for student organizations

Endowments

Establishing a permanent endowment fund means that your gift will be invested by the FSU Foundation and only the annual investment income generated by the endowment is used each year to provide support for a specified purpose. The endowment principal or corpus is never spent.

All endowed gifts provide an opportunity to name the scholarship, professorship, or lecture series to honor the donor or any person chosen by the donor.

The minimum endowment requirements for various purposes are provided below.

¹ All gifts of $100,000 or more are eligible to apply for matching grants that are currently provided for by the Florida Legislature.
